Right to Life of Michigan supports efforts to remove abortion coverage
from health insurance plans in Michigan. The Abortion Insurance Opt-Out
bill will exclude abortion as a covered benefit in plans operating under
the Michigan exchange mandated by the Affordable Care Act (ACA) as well
as all other health insurance plans.
Purchasers who want abortion as a
covered benefit in their insurance plan would have to purchase an
optional rider, ensuring that prolife people are not paying for
abortions through their own insurance plans.
Ask your legislator to
support H.B. 4065 and 4066. Abortion is not health care. Abortion
intentionally ends the life of a baby preparing to be born.
