Majority of Americans consider themselves “pro-life”

A new poll released by Gallup has found that 51% of Americans consider themselves “pro-life.” The same poll found only 42% of Americans consider themselves “pro-choice.”

In the last year, the number of people calling themselves “pro-life” has risen 7% while the number of people calling themselves “pro-choice” has dropped 8%.

The poll also found that 60% of Americans believe abortion should either be “illegal in all circumstances” (23%) or “legal only in a few circumstances” (37%).

Men and women were both more likely to be “pro-life” than “pro-choice.” According to the poll, 49% of women and 54% of men consider themselves “prolife” while only 44% of women and 39% of men consider themselves “pro-choice.”

Notre Dame Students to Protest Obama's Visit

Prolife students at Notre Dame have received official permission to hold a prayerful and constructive demonstration on the South Quad of the University of Notre Dame between 11a.m. and 4 p.m. on the day of Commencement. The students of this coalition would like to extend an invitation to all those interested in joining them on campus on May 17 as they respectfully give witness to Notre Dame's Catholic identity and prolife principles.
